How to disable traction control on a 2nd generation prius (2004,2005,2006,2007,2008,2009)

In this video, I show two different modes you can set your prius in for traction control turn-off.

THE PART WHERE I SAY MAINTENANCE MODE KILLS THE BATTERY, I DIDNT MEAN FOR IT TO SOUND LIKE THE BATTERY WILL LOSE LIFE. I WAS MEANING THE BATTERY DRAINS MORE IN MAINTENANCE MODE. SORRY FOR ANY MISUNDERSTANDING.

Thanks for the info. From what I understand you have to be careful. Run the risk of damaging the axle. But as long as you aren’t smashing the pedal which you shouldn’t anyway. Nor should you go down the highway with it like that. But this helps big time. I live on a back road with a hill to get up. Even with chains it’s a bitch with the traction control on. Night and day with it off. Thanks man

Thank you so much this really helped me! My tire speed sensors were damaged and I couldn't drive cuz traction control keeps going off! Yay I can drive my car now, no need for traction control in the summer.

Definitely good to know. When you have go fast from a stop, traction control often kills engine power which is annoying. It kicked in three times when i was trying to go! Lol 😂😂

I am having issues with my Toyota pirus 2007 gen 2. As long as i press the break the traction control lights flashing and it seems like the car is skidding and loosing the break power. It happens every day. I am sick of this. I been to 3 garages the can’t fix it. One of them change the abs sensors but still the same. And they said it could be the ABS pump fault. Go to Auto electric shop. Every time i go to garage they ripped me off.
Now i found your video. My question is if i apply the same process like you. Do i need to do it every time i start the car? Because i am a delivery driver and you know every time i finish my Job i turn off the car and waiting for the next Job for like 8-9 hours in a day. Is there any parmanent solution for that?

I just need the vsc, emergency brake lights all to go off my dash. how do i do that? my battery was sitting in water from a leak in back so im assuming that may have set off all the warning lights but they wont go off now ? please help
