The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never of thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.

I have created many ways to achieve the above goal and will list them all below. Different ways for different people so have a look through and see what fits you best.

When I was learning tre flips one of the biggest blockers I had was that even when I got my board to do the full 360 flip, it would flip way out in front of me (like away from my chest). So I thought that I had to jump way forward to land on it, and that did end up  working, but pretty much only for going slowly and they looked super forced. Finally I realized that if I try and throw my back truck way behind me during the scoop, I could jump straight up and my board would flip and land underneath me. This not only made it so that I could tre flip faster and in a straighter line, but also made the flip itself way smoother and I didn't have to use my front foot as much so it looked a lot better. Now I don't have to jump as hard it's more effortless. Hope that helps somebody out there :)

i just have to say, i think you are one of the coolest sk8ers ive ever met or seen. you are an incredible sk8er but so modest at the same time and so willing to help ppl reach their full potential. i grew up in a place where there were no pros and only a handful of amateurs and they were cocky assholes. your approach is the right one. when im skating with someone i dont care if they are learning an ollie for the first time, as long as your pushing your own persoal limits and having fun im gonna root for ya, and i see you are the same. thats the way skating should be. never change bro

Aaron, I'd like to thank you. I can now do several flat ground tricks and if it weren't for you I wouldn't even be able to Ollie. So you're fucking awesome.

I learned tre flips a couple of days ago and made a video on what helped me do it, while it's fresh in my memory, because usually people forget what they did wrong once the trick becomes automatic :)

IMO all this is gonna do is confuse the shit out of people trying to learn it.

around 7-8 years ago all I would do is watch 360 flip tutorials on Youtube, go outside, try it a few times, and come back inside. Eventually I stopped trying so hard and just skated with my friends normally. Skating down a main road very very late at night, around 2am I think. I tried one because I felt pretty good at the time. I landed on it with both feet on perfectly, of course I slipped out not expecting to land it. At the exact moment in my brain I felt the nodes connecting. I learned 360 flips. 3 tries later I land it.

It's a magical thing, and all these details aren't gonna get people anywhere. Just skate.

man I finally learned tres and none of these tricktips have all the keys to landing it
-the front foot is important too, it kicks forward (so NOT like a kickflip) while the backfoot swings backward in a counter balancing act (but you do put more emphasis on the backfoot scoop)
-after you scoop, your backfoot needs to always lift higher than your frontfoot
-your frontfoot needs to guide the board
-(edit) also make sure to square ur shoulders parallel to the board, and in the air don't let your feet get too close to each other, this helps with landing centered and not on the nose etc.

Im surprised some of those bigger companies didnt pick him up when he was younger. The older baggy 90s to 2000s look really complimented his style. Now a days, its all about low profile shoes and tight ass pants. Just seems like he wouldve been amazing in the 2000s...(because of standards)

Just discovered your videos today and we have been watching them during our breaks at Skate Camp. Good work. Very descriptive. I have been teaching skateboarding for 16 years and skating since 1974. I have not seen better instructional videos. Congrats.

am i the only one who can't land a thing with my wheels in a crack? i can do all the basics but i have to moving forward. my advice is, if you want to learn, just try it moving - even if its really slowly it'll help
