Rod Price. Arguably one of the best guitarists of his era, slide or otherwise. Unfortunately he, and Foghat are regularly overlooked as any kind of group, band, whatever. I really don't give a fuck because I know good music when I hear it, but these guys deserve the recognition.

Getting old, seeing all these great bands I grew up listening when they were young and fresh, fade away before my eyes, but their music will live on, always on my playlist, RIP Dave and rod

What a great band, I'm glad I was able to see them a few times. I saw them for the first time in 1978 I was in high school, they were a fantastic live band. This band brings back so many great memories. R.I.P. Lonesome Dave Peverett & Rod Price the magician of the slide guitar.

I HAVE ONLY SEEN THE FOG "FOGHAT" 8 TIMES LIVE BUT THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THEY ARE IN THE TOP FIVE CONCERTS THAT I HAVE SEEN. THE VERY BEST WAS IN OWENSBORO, KY IN 1975, I THINK LOL. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE ORGINAL 4 MEN WERE GREAT AND THE NEWEST FOGHAT BANK IS GOOD. THEY SHOULD BE IN THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME. BUT WHAT DO I KNOW I AM ONLY 67 YEARS YOUNG AND I STILL LISTEN TO FOGHAT 6 OUT OF 7 DAYS A WEEK. ROLL ON FOGHAT

I had a pleasure to see them in the '70s and '80s in Florida. Still have the 3 albums Fool for the City, Foghat Live and Stone Blue ...

I hate to say it, but without Dave it just ain't Foghat. He sounded just like the studio recordings. Some singers alter their singing when live to ease their throat i.e. vocal chords. But Dave seemed to sing in a range that was always comfortable and thus showcased his great and thoroughly distinct voice. It ain't the same w/o the Prince of live performance. "Good night sweet prince and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest".
