Did you know the first fastest recorded production car? The Jaguar XK 120 was dedicated to speed. 12,055 were made starting at 160 horsepower with a 3.4 liter straight 6 motor. The car had topless and speed oriented racing versions, so for the time it was fast. It would hold the record for the length of its production time from 1949 to 1955. The funniest thing is it held that top speed record with a speed of 124.6 miles per hour. Upgraded models were recorded doing upwards of 133 miles per hour, so it could go a lot faster.
