Holy moly guys, this REALLY works!! I got an email from a potential client in 5 minutes after sending an email that they'd like to chat!!! Thanks so much for the tip Ben!

The toughest part of networking is the transparency of it...when someone meets you with the end goal of aggressively talking business rather than building a relationship organically. The best types of networking is when its barely noticed as such.

I used LinkedIn, didn't reach all 30, but I made them ask to connect with through real connection I built with them using comments about their content. LinkedIn is great if you use it the right way without creeping them up

I can attest that walking into small shops and finding some common ground, often leads to a discussion about project work. I even managed to score work in exchange for a lifetime supply of underwear/socks for myself/family from a local underwear outlet by using this approach. The only thing I'd like to say is that this approach isn't really 100% transparent. You ARE looking for a sale and most people know there is no such thing as a free lunch. I believe the key is that it's all about a human connection. Finding some common ground to discuss that isn't sales related gets your foot in the door. Small talk more often than not, leads to them asking you to pitch your work/skills.

My father is a very talented communicator and I'm happy that I picked up that skill early on when I was still in college. Talking shop was a pretty easy exercise for me. However, this video put a whole new perspective on how I can relate to other professionals. Will definitely give it a shot. Thanks so much, Ben!

What a breath of fresh air! You have no idea how long I was looking for a video that covers precisely this. Thank you for the insight into cold mailing and the approach you take to make a un-personal form of communication into one that makes sense. Sooo many people, incl myself, mail potential clients (that you just want to have a sit down and chat) sales pitches. Its so frustrating to sit there and type a email and know that you are forcing the sale. Thanks again for the insight.

I was not a part of the 500 who signed up, but am doing this with a twist - all in person meetings. I gave myself a 30 day challenge - meet 30 people in small businesses in my neighborhood in 30 days. Some of the streets in my neighborhood have 30 small businesses just on one street. The First round of 10 people I approached was really positive. They all asked for my business card.

Hey Ben, I followed exactly what you said on this video and cold emailed a bunch of agencies from Instagram and Dribbble about wanting to possibly collaborate with them :((( To be honest, I was getting a bit hyped up by the action I was taking but felt like I was too hard-sell. Fortunately, I DID get a response from one agency a country away, which led to a Skype call earlier! When I reached out to them, I realised that doing this expanded my network and if ever I needed their services from the projects I'm doing, I could just outsource it to them! I think I was very very lucky to have this encounter.

Now I'm going to reach out to 30 more people this week with the step by step process you showed in this video and I'm so excited! Thank you for helping us out

Hi, I did the challenge and I thank you so much for doing this, well I did make a mistake that I wasnt supposed to contact big companies for now- as I need some work before I get there(self knowledge), but I'm glad I got a reply from 3 companies. God bless you so much Mrben burns and all the futur team for sharing so much with us. Love from India. Love you man ! ♥️

This is crazy. I've learnt more in this 10 minutes video than in many hours of coaching I've seen others doing around.
If you're getting any "sales" related product out, I'm sold.

What I did is to add Ceo, founders, product managers in LinkedIn. Got almost 200 new connections, messaged them to give thanks and asked how are they doing. People who replied, I gave them endorsement. I told them that just want to connect and hopefully we can collaborate on something in the future. Around 10++ got a bit deeper in our conversation. Then now, just watched this video telling me not to go to LinkedIn. So I will try other networks and try to differentiate the results hahaha

I have to admit, I've done it in a wrong way, I wrote a bunch of Simon Sinek, start with why thing to agencies, none reply back, well when I read back my email, I imagine if I were the person receiving it, it's kinda salesy, that's where I feel something is wrong but I can't pin point where, then your video came out, "Ah-ha!" I thought, well learning process indeed. Thank you so much for sharing though, Mr Ben Burns.
