Haaaahhhh this one was difficult
The first half of the Clip Studio Paint files got corrupted SO BAD that even the Celsys support team couldn't do anything about it and no recovery files were saved- but I somehow squeaked past re-doing everything again and present to you- this.

Grumpy Gramps Riptidesmith was an uncomfortable fellow in his younger apprentice/warrior years (not that that changed much)
He was never talented in fighting or hunting and vented his frustrations with miserable behavior towards his clanmates, all while still staying entitled to being cared for just as much as the others were and being surprised when his actions came back to him in form of hatred by his fellow cats.
A warrior of Mireclan, located in the swamps below Glacierclan territory held sympathy for Riptides situation and offered a partnership- for what exactly still stays a mystery~

Alright first answers!! :D

Q: Will we see more of the mysterious eye soon?
A: Yes :D But since the owner of the eye is pretty much the root of all evil she'll stay shrouded in mystery quite a while longer in comparison to the others~

Q: And will there be more about Roseeater and his origin?
A: While we still share Roseeater, Mireclan actually belongs to my bestie Ray Née (we're telling this story together) and she will reveal more about him as soon as I laid out the starting points here :D

Q: What Programs were used?
A: Clup Studio Paint EX and Adobe After Effects!

Q: What happens at 0:31 - 0:36 ?
A: Torrentpaw comes in to apologize and find a middle ground with Riptidepaw while Riptide's wiping blood from where he slept (due to the thorns), Riptide is not willing to talk and slaps Torrent away

Q: How'd Riptide get the scar?
A: In the 24 Hour AMV challenge vid 'Birds with broken wings' you'll see that it was Maroonstrike as he was defending himself!

Q: Were did the brambles placed in Riptides nest come from?
A: They were placed by Pepplepaw and her friends- as a Warning and retaliation for Riptides behavior (and for bashing pepples head with a rock mid-training fight)

Q: Who's the cat at 1:03?
A: Cherryspring! After the 'snap' everything except for eyes and blood is greyscale so the characters here aren't grey it was just a stylistic choice hahah

Q: Was Riptide born with the tooth?
A: Yes! He did face some ridicule too as a kit by fellow kits but that died down real quick!

Q: Were Riptidesmith and Cherryspring mates?
A: Yes! She‘s met quite the tragic fate because she had a bad case of „I can change him“-syndrome- her view through their time together will probably be the next side-chapter!

wow wow wow wow wow!!!! one thing that really stuck out to me was how well you portrayed his age change from "paw" into his warrior body and then after his fight with maroonstrike it gave me a good grasp of the time jumps going on. animations and expressions are on point as always! backgrounds are beautiful as well (especially the background at @0:46) i can only imagine the number of hours spent on those and then editing it together. Lip sync is also on point! great build up to the climax of the "song" it really captured his breaking point and the lead up to it based on the background info in this video and on other videos you've made really all adds it together more!! i love the editing with the blurring/ distorting @1:01 with the bg characters and then the greyscaling afterwards, it really helps put you in the crumbling mind of riptidesmith. Beautifully amazing work once again!!


Theory time:
i believe roseeater made a deal with this she-cats eye figure. IDK what exactly but i think it has to do with "you will grow with an infinite amount of strength/power, even if you kill/killed cats you can still get into starclan" kind of thing. but there might be a catch, you have to "curse" the next cat, in the form of this mark that has popped up in eyes and on paws, and one of the only ways to curse another cat is through a cut or blood or something like that. i think rose and riptide made a deal that they would experiment to try to pass on the cursed mark, so they had riptide "fall in love" with cherryspring but it would also kill the mothers body slowly, but the transfer didn't work with their son. riptide later tries to inflict the mark himself onto maroonstrike. maroonstrike got the mark but icepeak kills him before he can become too strong. but they already conceived tailwind who DID inherit the mark. but tailwind said, "f this warrior shit i'm out" and that is where i will stop for now hehe

gods- this is just so freaking fluid and beautiful- everytime you release a video I rewatch it so many times- this one especially— the MAGNIFICENT lip-sync (like- goddamn, Roseeater’s real foreboding) and the flowing camera movements- and the on-beat action sequences, and Riptide’s slow smile at the end (plus the GORGEOUS run cycle!)- god- your work is just legendary! :OO <3
