Albanese is 'politically clever' and has been 'underrated': Clennell

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese “is very politically clever,” says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“He’s clearly been underrated,” he told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“And he’s not making the gaffes so far – although he hasn’t been put under the sort of pressure that Morrison did.

“But it’s just too early – I mean you’ve got to look sort of 18 months down the track.”

Albo is a salesman. He understands politics and how to skewer people in the political world.

He can't operate in the real world - of fix things.

Mum there's a salesman at the front door. No where is the plumber.

Albo knows how to play people off one another.

He is not a fixer. In the terms of getting real people around him who - like in Defense - natural disaster management get them out there and get the job done. Not put in his personal picks who will only guarantee one thing - they do what the boss wants. And that is nothing then talk about things and do nothing.

This system of Government is about how you avoid the real issues. And then as that pile stacks up, the politicians think they can play the media divide and rule game. And then the pile of issues that they avoided hurt to many people. And then there is a tidal wave of issues that swamp them.

That is how Labor run until they get run down by all the issues they avoid. They don't address them, they treat them as not important. Like the economy - inflation - cost of food and fuel.

These are all gathering speed in voter land. And they will hit in about 12 months, and then Labor will be like an dead albatross, hanging around voters necks.
