It's always saddening to hear hermits say that they feel they need to do something special in order for us to watch. We watch the hermits because they just enjoy playing the game, its not scripted or planned its just an amazing group of hermits having fun playing minecraft together! You're amazing no matter what you build!

All that nonsense of "needing to earn your place as a Hermit" makes me want to give Gem the biggest hug, & i'm so glad she took an episode to rest after the guardian grind & do "smaller" tasks, no matter what those ridiculous comments say. There is no such thing as a less worthy build-- everything you do on the server is what makes you a Hermit!

Every hermit has kind of a niche. Doc is the master of technical bits, Grian is the master of social interactions, Scar is the master of detailed builds that tell a story and so on. Your niche is being able to make the most cozy and relaxing builds ever. Don't feel the pressure to make huge builds if you are not feeling it because you are at your finest when you are making small details that fit together to create cute and cozy builds.

Ignore those comments, Gem. You "earned" your way on the server when they invited you to join. Your builds are beautiful, whatever the size, and you make everything around you homey and welcoming.

"17:10" This probably the realest talk I've ever seen any Hermit have. We like to think that Hermitcraft is all fun and games but there's real pressure that comes from being part of such a popular group. It's gotta get in your head. Personally, I watch Gem cause she's fun and calming. I don't need her to "Blow me away" with all her builds in order to enjoy her videos.

I always get a lil annoyed when I see the “MEGABASE WHEN” comments because episodes like this are my favorite of yours!! The joy and creativity of your play style are a big reason why I started watching hermitcraft again. I love when hermits make smaller builds. I can easily use their tips and tricks when building on a server with my friends. With mega bases it takes too much grinding and I dont have time for it. Im gonna use the tip with trees for sure as I suck with building custom ones!

Gem, you don’t need to “earn your place” as a Hermit; the fact that you are one means you already have, simply by being you and contributing to the server. Build what you’d like, no matter how big, small, short, tall, homey, or grand it is; because in the end of the day, it’s wonderfully yours!
