WOW! Bro made a spring reverb machine out of a GD Altoids can!! As an audio engineer who has worked in the biggest studios in Nashville, Im impressed!! Too bad they barely use spring or plate reverb in recordings anymore. But if you could somehow use this for live shows this would be great if you could implement it somehow. Biggest reverb machines ive seen were in Blackbird Studio and The House of Blues studio in Nashville. Blackbird had a ginormous plate reverb box the size of a giant pool table in the attic, and house of Blues actually has one inside their Water Tower on their property. They built the water tower specifically for that reason. It is lined with circular plates they can plug into and get an amazing sound. BUT. LMAO.. We had buddies who worked over there (across the street from Blackbird Studios) and we would get a call when one of our buddies were recording off hour personal work, so we would then go over to the bushes with a little one pump red Ryder BB gun and pop the tower when they would have the reverb machine hooked up… It was the funniest thing ever to watch them come out and look at the tower thinking birds were running into it over and over LOL.

Fun fact! Not only is this type of electromagnet a very. Very interesting microphone indeed, it's also used in alot of studios connected with amplifiers and electric instruments like guitars! It's commonly called Spring Reverb and it's the old school way of echo reverb kind of like self feeding tapes and tubes aswell before things became more electronic. The only thing it's basically missing is an electromagnetic transmitter coil, it already seems to have the receiver coil. Although computer technology makes possibilities more interesting and amazing behind band studios, tubes, spring reverb and sometimes even magnetic cassette tapes, are often still sometimes used today in amplifiers and step pedals. Though they're very expensive because modern ones are often accommodated with electronic computer synthesizer parts aswell, you can still find pedals and amplifiers with interesting components such as this today. I came across a plasma pedal not too long ago and it sounds interesting. By the way! What a very cool project! It sounds like a whole different dimension.
