‘Embarrassing’ lack of uniforms for PH Olympic golfers angers fans

A video posted by the mother of golfer Dottie Ardina has gone viral as Team Philippines, which has one of the smaller delegation in these Games, did not look properly dressed for action at Le Golf National for the Paris Olympics 2024.

In a joint statement, the National Golf Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Olympic Committee said the reason why Ardina and fellow golfer Bianca Pagdanganan have “dressed down” is because their uniforms failed to clear customs in Paris.”I 🎥: Gina Valencia Ardina

The Olympics only happens every 4 years which means we have 4 years to prepare for it and yet we failed to provide our athlete with their most basic need. How can we expect them to excel with this kind of preparation and support that they are getting

i was a volunteer during Doha Asian Games 2006, sa athletes village ako naa-assign bale sa reception ng mga accommodation. ni-request ko agad dun sa supervisor ko ilagay ako sa Philippines building the next day. excited ako, kasi syempre proud to be pinoy, anak ng tipaklong yung mga member ng official ang susuplado puro inquiry gimik at bar gusto except kina Ms. Akiko Thomson and her boss that time sila lang yun very approachable….. at syempre mamabait lang yung mga players….. the whole volunteering days ko opted to be assigned sa ibang bansa na lang…..
