"Lollipop" is a pop song written by Julius Dixson and Beverly Ross in 1958. It was first recorded by the duo Ronald & Ruby—Ross herself was "Ruby"—and then covered more successfully by The Chordettes. The Chordettes version reached #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1958. It is a firm favourite among barbershop singers.

My grandma played this for me when I was a kid, I have a strong memory of it. My grandma passed away last October and I have been thinking about this song and her calling me Lilly (a nickname she gave me that isn't even close to my name) I miss you grandma

Учим с сыном английский и попалось слово леденец. Благодаря этой песне перевод я и знала. Прослушав эту песню теперь и он запомнил😉

My Grandpa and Grandma danced this at our old house in 1967! But then my mom and dad danced at the same house in 1991! After that, I can dance by myself! My family teached me how to dance the song! What a good memory.

For some reason this was one of my favorite songs when I was 4 years old in 1958 - so much so that the 45 was bought for me.

Saw a horror film when I was a young fellow. It was a scene when a doctor performed surgery on a young boy and this song was played during the scene. Loved it ever since. Last member of The Chordettes passed away in 2020.

It's amazing seeing a video of the song rather then just listening to the audio
