Hangar 9’s new 10cc PNP J-3 Cub - insane flight envelope!

Today we are flying the hanger 9 J-3 Cub. Not only is this airplane incredibly fun to fly, It has an amazing flight envelope.  today’s flight was done at a mere 25°F and I put in about four batteries into this airplane. After those flights, I can honestly say that this is going to be one of my favorite aircraft at the flying field. It’s easy to fly easy to assemble and has one of the largest flight envelopes of a cub that I’ve flown in the past.

Steve great video man! I couldn't agree more. The J-3 is such a great flyer...very smooth and flies so much bigger than it is. Much more capable than you would think it is and very efficient...long flight times. I also love that it is so much easier to deal with than a larger model like my 1/4 scale. H9 hit this one out of the park! Great flying and filming. You and your family have a Merry Christmas!

Well done Steve! I enjoyed the flights! It’s crazy how good this J-3 flies with the stock length wings I can’t imagine how good it will be with the clipped wings and with floats off the water. Lots of options with this one and it really fills a niche in the Hangar 9 lineup.
