Bali - The Ultimate Two Week Itinerary
Показать описание
An amazing 14 day itinerary around Bali. Look for locations based on titles in the left corner of video and in chapters in timeline. This includes stops in Uluwatu, Ubud, Sidemen, Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and a brief day in Seminyak.
Highlights are definitely Uluwatu for a beach/surf vibe, excellent restaurants, exquisite vistas and temples (MONKEYS!) and local Bali culture.
Ubud, the "cultural capital" is still a must stop, but is very commercial. If you can stay a mile or more from the downtown area, it will likely be more enjoyable. From this location it is easy to hit a myriad of waterfalls, temples, local warungs (restaurants), and take in the beautiful vistas of rice terraces. There is also whitewater rafting by many companies along two different rivers. The closer Ayung is an easy pick - and much closer. My understanding is that both rivers have similar experiences. As for the rice fields, if you are lucky, it will be one of the three harvesting times of the year.
Sidemen, is at this moment, more of a local town with Balinese customs and spirit. It is starting to get more touristy, but because it is more rural it is one of the highlights of the two weeks. Local restaurants, mountain ranges and an amazing volcano will be at your doorstep. You can reach other waterfalls and temples from this location.
Nusa Penida, is the largest of the three islands about a 25 minute speed boat ride from mainland Bali. It is far more rustic and rural in parts. That said, it feels way more laidback and friendly among the three. In certain parts the coral is almost as good as the GBR (Great Barrier Reef). One of the highlights are the countless cliffs and fantastic beaches. You will see the highlights of these in the video.
Nusa Lembongan is definitely more populated and denser. There are some very nice beaches, but they all tend to be busy.
Lastly, while one here for 24 hours, Seminyak is absolutely a dense city with a beach. The food is excellent, but the place can be hectic, which is a far different experience than the rest of the island.
