Just look at how all the big creators are making longer videos nowadays, or how many of these small creators that are blowing up have longer than average content.

As for gaming channels that are mostly gameplay, getting more clips would be similar to adding more funny moment clips, which equals to more viewer watch time which also equals to the algorithm loving you more
