This video is exactly what I needed to put my mind at ease. It's time for me to do a trader journal.
Now I just have to decide been TraderSync and TraderVue. I like the look of TraderVue phone app and do my main trading on Robinhood phone so that's got a strong edge there but honestly the whole point of a Journal is to easily see what you neeed to improve and having the weekly PnL charts and similar things on TraderSync is also important.. I have to try both honestly. Because I want to go with TraderVue but sometimes what I want inst' what I need.

Great video...appreciate the info. I've been using Trader synch for over 2 years but get frustrated from time to time on minor issues. That said, they just released a BETA version that looks great has updated capabilities.

Best video about journals ive seen thus far mate, really appreciate it. I dont want to fork out that costly subscription on Tradersync, but its going to be a huge step in the right direction for my trading if I do. Excel is too time costly.

Question for you, I want to track and find out if the trades I enter in pre-market and close out after market open are profitable or not. For tradervue, it looks like it shows profitability by time, but is it tracking trades based on when you open them or when you close them? Which of the journals do you think would be best to achieve what I am looking for? Also, if I scale out of trades, will it record it all as multiple trades?

Q: You will be forgiven if “do not know”. As many trades in futures have multiple entries and exits a.k.a. “Take profit points”, Do any of these journals consider as a single trade, only when I would be flat? -best, -hg
