The Fender Eliminator kit from Yoshimura provides riders with a simple clean alternative to the big bulky rear fenders found on modern sportbikes. The overall quality of the fit and finish is impeccable, exactly what you would expect from Yoshimura. I have this kit on my 2012 CBR1000RR.  I can tell you it is great.  Very high quality, and easy to install.  I like the fact that I could use my stock turn signals with it, which gives it a clean OEM look.  The LED license plate light is also very nice.  I highly recommend this kit.

I got it done in 2 hours. It was not that hard but if I was Revzilla I would have a video on how to install it

Only RevZilla could do a 5 minute review on a Fender Eliminator

Just got this kit, and being that I'm in Canada our plates are to big so I ended up just using two top bolts unless I drill holes in my plate to get it to fit.if I went in knowing this I would have looked around for a different fender eliminator.

I just completed the install on my Yamaha YZF-R3 and the kit had no issues that knowledge wouldn't have fixed.  The most problem was taking apart the big plastic monstrosity that Yamaha installed.  Two allen head screw stripped because the morons who installed it over tightened them (but nothing a  good hammer wouldn't fix).  Needless to say, I will never use that fender again.  I saved all the hardware I took off and that is very necessary because Yoshimura cut me four bolts short and one wire connector.  I used the four nuts that came off the fender (at the mounting point).  On this kit you must keep your exiting turn signals intact.  The inside mount piece is also used, but they re-mount is very easy.  Remember to splice the license plate wire after it goes through the hole in the housing (I didn't, so I had to connect wires two different times).  All of your time is taking apart the fender and building the new one.  Bolting it on and rewiring inside the bike is very quick.  I highly recommend this to Yamaha people, if you don't damage or throw away any of your signal hardware, so be careful removing them.  I also save the light, it does work.  The light that attaches to the new plate holder is clean and looks very, and is noticeable bright, even in the day.

A note to all who buy these:  The angle is really too high, so I assume the bend on the mount is universal.  It would have been nice if Yoshimura had use the proper angle to make the license plate holder and turn signals proper for the bike.

So basically, a fender eliminator makes ur license plate more visable? It puts it a different angle, right?

Can you do a video on Coober Cat delete kit for the Duke 390? Myself and a few of my friends would eventually like to install this kit on our bikes. I know it includes everything you need. Thanks 👍

I think anyone considering looking at an fender elim kit should look around at the other companies doing the same products for nearly 1/2 the price.... I can say with certainty that they are 85-90% similar in build quality / fit / finish....

I've handled / seen in person the Vegabond, hotbodies and Yoshi versions to name a few.... hands down not much difference between them except massive price reduction !

Especially if your a Canadian resident, with the exchange / tax / shipping this kit is nearly $250 ( for my particular bike year / model ) for a freaking license plate holder! which means one thing (these motherf**kers) are getting so rich from these products....

Will this kit void my warranty or hurt my resale value?

I have this exact same kit on my bike, does anyone know what I can use to hold the aftermarket blinkers in place I haven't found anything yet that fits perfectly to bolt them on?

Nice review. This video & the customer product reviews, convinced me to go with the Yoshimura Kit over the Hot Bodies. Just one thing -- it's "Yoshi-MU-ra"...not "Yoshi-Me-ra". :)

Don't cheap out on Fender eliminators. I used a cheap ebay one and it broke within a couple months... Don't cheap out on any parts

i just bought an 07 zx6r and the previous owner has a fender eliminator kit but the way he has it set up is that he bolted the license plate in to the plastic of the bike under the muffler close to the rear suspension (shock) so my question is is there something that i can buy thats not expensive and bolt it on there and then the plate on that so i dont have to bend the top part of the plate? something that looks like the most fender kits part where you bolt on to the bike but not the full system.?

I had this installed on my 2020 CBR650R immediately after I purchased it. Stock fender looks terrible.

Did you say one to two hours? What are you smoking? If you have all the tools (wire cutter, Allen Key, screwdriver, common sense, electrical tape) you should be done in 15 mins.
