I still cant get over the fact that we now have a Picture of Black Hole. A few decades/century ago we couldnt even map the closest Star, and now... Exicted to see what the future holds for us.

Its just crazy to think that interstellar from 2014 has got all this physics right and is still one of the best movies today.

It’s sad how no one is talking about how amazing the animation is. The lighting for the accretion disk is AMAZING props to everyone who animated this

Black holes are one of my favourite things in the universe, genuinely amazingly fascinating and magnificent in what they are.

So when I was going to Orange Coast College in approximately 1976 they were just starting to talk about black holes. They didn’t know if they actually existed or not look what’s happened since then my goodness.

It is not a "taken" photo, it is composed out of the data retrieved from the telescopes around the Earth, this photo is the result of a project which spanned over 8 years including almost 20 countries and over 200 participants.

Cleo and Brian have two of the most contagious, and beautiful, smiles when talking about science.

Need more content on dormant black holes. It’s crazy how yall talk about the gravity of black holes and light can’t escape… but that like 10% of black holes. I know you cant really find them, but talk about the ones that been found.

This is crazy cool. In the 70’s these were but mere theory . Love science.
