For almost 20 years I lived in a very small and awkwardly designed 1930s row house in Wash DC. Even new furniture designed for tiny places would not fit right (seats were too deep) so I finally started to choose period pieces from the decade my house was built. It worked like a charm! Now we are in NYC and getting ready to move again to a new huge 3000 sq ft house in southeast VA so all the tiny furniture has to go because it looks like doll furniture. Oh well!
