And this is from someone who is a supporter of things like raising wages and women's equality. But that doesnt change reality. Average wnba salary is $77, 000 a year. Yeah thats not close to the men's, but thats also double what an average american makes in a year.

Here's the ugly truth that the neither the report nor the WNBA player(s) will acknowledge: Women won't watch them play. The WNBA was established because there was an argument made that women would watch them play. They don't and they won't. Period. It is a failed experiment that the NBA cannot admit because of PC politics. Women tennis players make money because people watch women's tennis. No one watches womens soccer or basketball. It is just a matter of fact and economics.

Are you aware that the Crowds are far lower, ticket prices to women's matches are far cheaper and Revenue is far lower. Women's basketball is a lower standard. People want to want the highest standard of basketball possible. That is also the reason why basketballers in the Canadian or Australian leauge's get less money.

I like how videos like this one on this subject, never or rarely mention the revenue gap. Men's basketball in the US rakes in something like 150 times more than the female game. If you were to pay the girls the same, the money would have to come from the mens game. In England where I live, football (or soccer as Americans prefer to call it), something like 99.8% of all revenue is generated by the mens game. Women account for a paltry 0.2%. Of course, unlike in the US, the women here kind of know this and accept it and you don't see them on the news complaining about equal pay. They know that their game is massively subsidised by the men and wouldn't exist were it not for those subsidies. I suspect it is no different in the US, yet these women literally think they deserve the same. Unbelievable.

I get what they are saying, but at the same time more viewers=more money, how can you get payed the same as the male players when your not getting no where near as the amount of viewers as the male players, i like the WNBA but its just not as entertaining to watch as the NBA
