Unity 2019 Android Support: Setup, SDK & NDK

preview_player
Показать описание
This is a Unity 2019 tutorial for new Android Support, I show how to setup Unity with the Unity Hub, install Android Support and the SDK and NDK tools.

You dont have to download this anymore from an external page, it is included now in the Unity Hub version 20.0.

I create a sample project with the Lightweight Render Pipeline (LWRP) and then I deploy this as apk file to my real Android Device that I connected via USB cable to my PC.

OMG thank you so much. Was tearing my hair out trying to get Unity to see the installed Android SDK. I had downloaded and installed Android SDK, but Unity could not find it even when I pointed it to the install path. Grrr. But your tut sorted it for me. You're awesome!!

Small tip: Still can't find your phone in the menu? My experience with android phones is that it requires Developer mode. Enable Dev mode, then enable USB debugging & perhaps Stay Awake. Now it should show up after a refresh :)

For those who have problems with Unity Remote 5
It turned out to solve as follows:
1. Edit - Preferences - External Tools-Uncheck "Android SDK ..." and click " Browse"
2. Restarting Unity

The problem is the following, when installing Unity in a batch with all the SDKs and so on, from the Unity Hub, in the address bar
Edit - Preferences - External Tools-Android SDK automatically spelled the wrong path instead of / specified \ before the SDK folder

So wait that's why I couldn't build my game, because my phone was not connected to the pc... I just wasted 3 hours on why it didn't want to build my game
Thanks man, you just saved me from giving up

It was really helpful. I was just one click away from downloading assets of sdk and jdk rather than jus trying to find an external support. Thanks thanks a lot !!

My god I should really break the habit of trying to figure problems out on my own by running down the rabbit hole of 18237 interconnected manuals, downloading drivers, ending up with coding applications, wasting 8 hours of time energy but instead just bloody ask youtube getting perfect tutorials like your video. thanks
