I recently read an article about perfume and one thing you're not supposed to do is rub your wrists together. Rubbing the perfume interrupts how the notes play out. Just let it evaporate naturally... ❤

I love, love, love cruelty free indie brand perfume oils, like BPAL. My personal favorite is probably by Alkemia Perfumes, Trick or Treat. It is heavenly and Halloween in a bottle. It’s notes are mandarin orange, cedar wood, tonka, caramelized brown sugar, bourbon vanilla, black licorice, patchouli, oakmoss, candied ginger and sandalwood. It reminds me of Halloween night as a kid, eating all of my candy in the plastic candy container, smelling my mom burning potpourri on the stove, the smell of the autumn air and leaves coming through the window...it’s addictive, I adore it!

Oh my goodness! I'm so happy to hear someone talk about Tokyo Milk. One of my favorite perfumes ever is Novocaine No. 85. It's so spicy and sultry and delicious. But I've never heard anyone mention the brand at all.

I wish I could wear floral perfumes but my body chemistry makes them all smell like Tibe! I stick to spicy, vanilla, tonka bean, sandlewood, ambers, musks and gourmand type perfumes. The only floral I can wear at all is Jasmine.💜💜💜

I just saw a YouTube video that said spray behind your ears not on your neck because the alcohol dries out your neck. Just a tip! I loveeee perfume and you've mentioned some good ones! I'm down for a good oil! I used to make my own but now I just wear perfumes or essential oils. Gotta give some of these a Try! Thank you Linda!

I somehow missed this one! Me, the perfume hoarder! I have at least 100 bottles I bought because they were pretty 😆. Really interesting choices! I only have the Kilian, but the others I have really good things about too.

My current signature scent is Skin by the brand Clean. They have quite a few scents to choose from and often do limited/reserve scents. I can’t usually do amber or cashmere or anything described as dark or deep or sensual but it’s not a super forward note in this one. Top Notes: Sheer Honeydew, Lotus Blossom, Fresh Air Accord
Middle Notes: Dewy Petals, Aquatic Notes, Blue Rose
Base Notes: White Musk, Cashmere Woods, Amber Wood, Creamy Vanilla. The blue rose doesn’t come through very much for me. It could have better staying power for me but I still love it. It’s amazing paired with the Sol De Janairo also, I love to layer scents. It is sold in Sephora and online at Ulta.

I also love Glossier You. Have you tried any of the Henry Rose perfumes? This is Michele Pfeiffer's (cruelty-free) company and the perfumes are genderless. I bought the sample scent collection, but can't decide on which to purchase in full size because I like them all!

I love Black Phoenix Alchemy lab’s Alice, Snake Oil sounds interesting, I’ll have to pick up in next order.

Snake Oil is so heavy on me, and turns old lady perfume on me thanks to my skin chemistry. My holy grail perfume from BPAL is Blossoming Vulva. I hate that it was a limited from 2016. But it's so sweet and floral and warm and beautiful on me.
Also if you want other indie suggestions, Hexennacht is my love! There are blends that I didn't even think I would like, but that creator does wonders with her blends. Hated hated HATED patchouli on me until I tried one of her patchouli scents.

Okay, this is a topic near and dear to my heart! haha! My 4 current favorites are Lush: Lord of Misrule, Pinrose: Secret Genius, Harvey Prince: Sincerely, and Pinrose: Wild Child. The first two are warm and sexy, the second two light and floral.

There are so many brands I want to try, but it takes forever to get through a perfume so I tend not to purchase them regularly. That being said, I’ve heard really good things about Define Me but their branding doesn’t speak to me so I haven’t tried any yet. Also I just found out that Good Chemistry is CF & V, kinda curious about them since they are a lower price point and available at Target.
