Something to note is how the chain on his hip attracts the eyes, then the zipper leads it back up to the face. It’s a good way to highlight his legs subtly without ignoring the face

I actually appreciate this design. As a asssin, and a shadey one at that it works well in blending him, while those tiny color pops help make him an import character without throwing him in the show while blending him in without completely subordinating him. The bue and orange makes me wonder what his life was before being an assassin, as the blue and orange feel tranqil with a touch of earthy .

The blue and orange with the Grey kinda reminds me of the Mercury Ranger from Power rangers operation overdrive

Much like Jaune, Emerald and Mercury display the idea of upgrading their designs rather than putting on entirely different attire. Although unlike Emerald, Mercury actually remembered function along with fashion. Not only does he now wear a jacket with sleeves that are perfect for the cold and pants with zippers to help access his prosthetics but he also doesn’t wear too many flashy accessories which would probably help with his more acrobatic and straight forward fighting style. I also love the dinky heel blades because it adds color to talaria

Mercury finally goes off.
I have to say I love Mercury’s new design. Not only is it functional. It’s completely stylish. Out of everything I love the jacket the most. His emblem emblazoned on the front with a wonderful mix of metal gray and black. It actually looks like something you’d see Jin from Tekken wear. Which is probably why I like it so much. And the orange stands out and helps it pop a little.
Y to here are elements that confuse me. The orange tag, and the zippers on his jeans. Are they detachable? Does this mean we’re going to see him reveal his legs?
Over all a solid design.

I wish we saw more of his prosthetic legs. Because of his long pants its easy to forget his father mangled them, and he is a double amputee. His Prosthetic leg being broken in the Vital Turney was a key part of Cinders plan to cause panic

The little pop of orange really helps. If they get more seasons, I hope they keep that in any future designs.

The wings on his boots ! The hermes ref ! Was my favorite thing i wanna see if theyre like knives attached to his boots for fighting or smth 😫 also love how when he was packing for vacuo he just had 3 of the same shirt as far as im concerned hes the only of the villians that does laundry

But I find interesting though is that also has zippers on them and it could be like those one kind of pant legs that go all the way around so he can detach his legs to put the pants on properly and then when he attaches them he can just zip them back up

I love how Critter and I had the opposite experience with Emerald and Mercury
Emerald's new outfit caught my eye immediately, and without it, I think I would've missed Mercury
I'm not saying that the changes in Mercury were bad, I just thought they were more subtle than Emerald's
