some say he is still tightening that cap

I should put this in my '90 Ducati Paso 906; when I replaced the starter motor I serviced the water pump, and it was 2mm thick with green crystals precipitated out with the low pressure. It wasn't corroded at all when I cleaned it up. But still...

The '69 911S being restored should go straight on it, too.

Thanks Mr. Leno. Two thumbs up.

Well the pressures in the system is not just to get higher boiling point, it's important to have to avoid cavitation damage on your cylinder liners

The rotary crowd is one of our more enthusiastic groups. Removing water: don't flush with water at the start, Evans is compatible with antifreeze chemicals. Blow air through circuits in the system to push old antifreeze out. Use Prep Fluid to displace antifreeze. Different system layouts needs different techniques.

I ran this in my motorcycles. If you did a road racing track day or raced on the track you had to use this or something similar. A great product!

I started running this in my 1989 Harley 3 years ago, have not have a coolant problem since.

Love this stuff!  If you have a problem with your cooling system this could very well prevent severe engine damage.  In a system with 50/50 coolant the boiling temp is much lower and once your coolant starts to boil the heat removing property is greatly diminished.  With Evans the boiling temp is much higher meaning it is still pulling some heat out when the 50/50 would be boiling.  Buying you precious time to realize there is a problem and maybe get off the road safely.

Remember you get this Call Evans @ the 1800 # and ask them about installation if you do it yourself. They have dealers that will do it for you if you pay them clearly.

I was told by a guy @ for regular stuff like gas cars you don't have to drill holes in your overflow cap or anything. But for Diesels you are supposed to raise the thermostat temp.

Making sure water & rust aren't in the system to begin with would almost 100% determine if you will have a problem.

In the real world, most of us will have a cooling system component failure around or over 10 years, and lose most of the coolant, so in theory only, the Evans is a life time coolant. New Toyota factory coolant are rated for 10 years now. Even if the Evans prevent all internal corrosion, components like radiator corrode from the outside as well. I live in cold climate, they use salt on the roads. For Jay Leno's cars which get driven once a year? Evans works great.

I think the lid on "red" one is tight enough now!

Done. I'll be buying this brand exclusively. Had no idea the corrosion could get so bad inside....

I asked for a refractometer and a hydrometer at Partsource and they looked at me like I was stupid. They never heard of one.

The Rumor Has It there's a hundred-thousand-dollar reward for anybody who can take off the cap of that Evans coolant bottle he's been tightening.

How does this compare to traditional Toyota For Life Coolant? I know a lot of people here will think it’s a gimmick but Toyota consistently installs better equipment on their cars than most other manufacturers. You get what you pay for, after all.

Pets don’t die immediately when they drink antifreeze. The antifreeze forms crystals in the kidneys and the pet dies of kidney failure. However, if your pet does ingest some antifreeze, give him/her beer or any ethanol alcohol which will dissolve the crystals formed by the glycol alcohol. But like Jay said “Don’t let your pets drink antifreeze”.

I just recently started using Archoil fuel stabilizer. I guess with this I will wait for a followup and let's see how the Duesenberg does. (the Duesy like Pop used to say) .

Sounds like a great thing for summer and winter driving. You don't have water to boil over when it gets hot, nor do you have a freezing problem. Is this available at O'Rielly Auto Parts, or Pep Boys?

Agree with tzmndvl we wanna see the workhorses that keep your shop flowing. Also let us know how you go with putting the Evans into the Deusies. I might change the coolants on my W111, W109 and W112 Mercs.

Jay: You used the Corvair as an example of a car that can benefit from a waterless coolant.  In fact, it's already waterless . . . it's air-cooled.
