If part of the whole multiplied by 100 makes a percentage equation then you could directly select D. It’s the only option where you multiply by 100. A is percent change formula and B is simply fraction. C and D could be correct answers but you aren’t multiplying the equation by 100 to get the percentage. Therefore D is our only option

since you said that the pairs are either ALL black or ALL brown, there are 2 options... Its either m/n since if all n shoes are black, there are no (0%) pairs of brown shoes, and if all n shoes are brown, then the answer is just 100%
