This drone is not designed for outdoors. We purchased it for outdoor camera taking and if you sneeze it falls out of the air. It can't take any wind gust over 5 mph which is rare to get the wind under 5 mph. That video is highly edited.

@SplittingAt0ms no because they aren't in the same network. Same mobile network, different local network. It doesn't work like that. It's like having two different wireless access points in the same house. The computers can't communicate with the others unless they are connected to the same access point. It also depends on what the ar drone does. If you modded it heavily and replaced whatever it uses for wi-fi with something 4G somehow and connected a computer to that it might work.

@Raptor50aus The AR.Drone will automatically land when the battery level reaches 0 percent. If it loses connection with the iPhone it will just hover.

It's in case of emergency you can press the emergency button to turn off the 4 propellers. Here it's an example.

over 6m height the ultrasond heigt system is at amximum range.. you can go higher but it become unstable in speed and you have to stabilise manually.

wi fi range is supposed to be 50-100m.. but there is some hacks you can switch to 2.4ghz and up to 2 kilometer range

@SplittingAt0ms now account for the drones battery life/range, so put a laptop battery on it but it cant carry it now so upsize it, now we might as well get a predator uav lol

@tommytube2103 i would guess the E revo cause i don't even think the airport security would know what an AR.Drone is so you might not be able to bring it. But, The 1/10 E revo is EXTREMLY big and that would be hard to carry, So you consider getting the 1/16 e revo instead of the drone.
