I'm currently struggling with the same issue. The problem is that we have so many modules/sections to assign permissions to, and the amount of data being sent is quite large, which isn't scalable. I'm trying to find a way to make it dynamic, meaning I want to send only the fields in the state that are actually set to true

i think both solutions work really well, thee good thing about the first one, is that the state lives locally and this wont me the full app re-render only each row, we will probably have to pass a cb fn to each CheckboxRow to get its value tho!
