As for makeup, only if you enter a shrine you must wipe off makeup because this is one of the laws because you are considered a visitor to a place of worship and not a place to show off your beauty. However, some people allow you to enter if you are wearing makeup, but do not allow boxes of makeup to enter with you because they fear that some people will throw boxes inside. A shrine that is not clean, so they always try to make the place clean You can wear makeup outside a shrine, which is okay
