The shrine is absolutely magnificent. It almost looks like stepping into a different world. Almost magical.

I am Iraqi and a Shiite Muslim. And here in the holy cities, it is considered for all sects and religions, not just us. Everyone who wants freedom will know who Imam Ali, peace be upon him, is and how he was the first caliph of Muslims who equated religions. There is a saying by Imam Ali: People are of two types: either your brother in religion or your equal in creation, and we are now at this time when the Arbaeen pilgrimage begins, the largest peaceful gathering in the world. The number of visitors last year reached 22 million in just 20 days, and these are visitors from all religions, not just Shiites, because whoever knows the cause of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and reads how he sacrificed himself and his children for him, it is true that you always stand with the oppressed, and in the end, may God help you, and I say, welcome to Our sanctities and we are honored to serve all visitors of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and Imam Ali Peace be upon him

Most of these beautiful buildings, including tiling, mirror work, silver work, gilding, wood art, and stone decorations, were built by Iranian artists and architects. This type of construction is nearly 2000 years old in Iran

I always go there just for information that checkpoints are mandatory because such a large gathering must be inspected because for fear of something happening, so they take caution. As for makeup, only if you enter a shrine you must wipe off makeup because this is one of the laws because you are considered a visitor to a place of worship and not a place to show off your beauty. However, some people allow you to enter if you are wearing makeup, but do not allow boxes of makeup to enter with you because they fear that some people will throw boxes inside. A shrine that is not clean, so they always try to make the place clean You can wear makeup outside a shrine, which is okay

I'm Muslim and why have I never seen the inside or heard of this absolutely magnificent establishment?! In Sha Allah will visit it someday after marriage.

Alhamdulillah I’ve visited this shrine and others in Iraq. (Also, for anyone who wants to know, the checkpoints are just for checking for modest clothing and mainly security, you can actually wear make up if you want).😊

Go to downtown malls, there are more beautiful places and you don't need to cover your head, why tourist only go to holy places and ancient ones go to Baghdad downtown
