Izula II is on my list, looks like a great sized edc fixie.

I went to a local shop to gauge the size of 1, glad I ordered the Izula 2. I used 2 screws to mount the clip plate "sideways" and carry it front left with the handle towards my right. The scales darkened a decent bit from 2 days of work but I wrapped the handle in black paracord, less obnoxious against my black work pants. I wear large/XL sized gloves and a 5th meta-carpal fusion so that half inch adds a lot of support.

Love my Izula 2, I’ll just throw it in my front pocket sometimes

I personally bought the utica utk-n2. It's like a cross between a izula and a Bradford Guardian 3.
It's much better then the izula because of the grind and micarta handle.
Basically I can't recommend it enough and it's American made. It just doesn't have all of youtube pushing it.

I have the 2 and a couple of the 1’s in S35vn with the extended G10 scales! I prefer the latter, and that’s why I have two of them…lol. They really are a great small knife!

I wish they would make the izula 2 in s35vn like they did the first

I've always wanted one. 😥 But the Xancudo I bought is too small for me and I understand it's bigger yet. (I ended up gifting it to a friend.)

I even sold my ESSE 3 because the handle was too small. And then, I pick up a 4, and the first thing that pops into my head is how danged short that handle is... 🤷🏼‍♂️

I don't believe myself to be a giant person. I'm 6'2" and large, but I know there's tons of guys bigger than me yet. And even I have a hard time finding a smaller fixed blade for EDC, or neck carry in the bush, that I feel I can actually use comfortably and to good effect. A "3 finger grip" just does not 'cut' it for me... (Ha! A pun!)

Outdoors I usually go with a Mora around my neck. (They're super light and tough enough.) EDC I pretty have to carry a pocket knife simply because I can get a folder that fits both my pocket and my sausage-fingered hand. 😕

First world problems? I guess so...

Is it too much to ask for both? My EDC is an Izula in S35VN with aftermarket scales from The Knife Connection. I have several Izula's and Izula 2's in both 1095 and S35VN. If I could only have one knife, that would probably be it. I do like the Xancudo fixed blade though as well. Even with those Halloween special edition handle scales...

Well no, most of us can’t “make a belt sheath”. We don’t have access to kydex nor do we have access to whatever machines are required to work kydex and lastly, we don’t know a damn thing about manufacturing kydex stuff. 😖

Or you can get the regular izula and get the longer handles. If that's not enough then add a lanyard for extra purchase

new blades come out every year seems like. better faster stronger we are told...supersteels haha. i just dont need a supersteel on any 3 inch blades or pocket knives. i like to know abt em, but youll wreck ur brain looking for the most superior blades, itll wreck ur wallet also. 1095, micarta and g10 and im good.
