can you say anything about the comparison of dried fruit vs not dried/fresh? I figured the phytonutrients and fibers should be still there or is the drying process in general a degration of the good things?

I want to tell everyone that potatoes, fruit, and starch doesnt spike blood sugar:) I tested it with myself and my blood levels remained even in the perfect range of fasting glucose levels. However maybe it can vary from individual to individual. So far I tested several fruits, sweet and plane potatoes, rice crackers with peanut butter (peanut butter may have something to do with it)

I do enjoy some good dates. They are great for snacks and baking. I never really cared for prunes, though, so I'll take apples over prunes almost any day.

I'm trying all the plant based tricks to lower my cholesterol since I recently scored a 240 on my blood work with a junk food vegan diet. Partly because I'm on a medication known to raise cholesterol.
