Listening to this song genuinely makes me cry. It just reminds me of all the beautiful moments I no longer have, and all the sad memories that have faded away with nothing but scars left behind. Somehow it just fills me with sadness, loss and nostalgia; but most importantly, an overwhelming feeling of hope.

Even though all this happened, life is so beautiful. It's worth living. Even after everything, I'm still standing, and the sun will rise tomorrow like always. I can't give up yet for the sake of all the people who stood behind me all these years. Yes, I will never be able to fix the me that was broken back then. I can't give myself a happy past.

But I can make myself a happy future.

Joe Hisaishi’s music is so nostalgic for me, it reminds me of when my grandpa would buy me studio ghibli movies for my birthday and we would watch it together with the rest of the family. Now it just makes me tear up since my grandpa is no longer here.

I remember watching this movie when i was just 6 years old and it was so amazing, 11 years later i decided to watch it again and oh dear.. so many memories.
Even if you don't really watch anime, you should forget all the bias and give it a go on this one, you will not regret it.
Thank you Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki for this masterpiece.
