I was cleaning out my room, and found some papers and puzzles and legos with codes and symbols on it at first I was confused but them remembered 2 years ago during lockdown I made and escape the room for my family and followed this tutorial I was looking for it and found it. You need to put a phone in the room and FaceTime that phone from the outside and then it’s like a security camera so if they ask for a hint you can tell them loud and clear through the phone

Thank you so much, this was very helpful! My 14th birthday party is coming up in a few weeks and this year I really wanted to do something fun that me and my friends could actually enjoy. After going to a professionally run escape room for a friends birthday, I decided I would make my own to have my guests try to do. For those interested in the first puzzle box: if you search youtube for diy puzzle box, you find a lot of videos that make this one or a variation on it. Some do it with wood that they saw to size, some with popsicle sticks and some from cardboard (that's how I ended up at this video: via the recomendations of one of those)
