Aside from #Honda and #Toyota - most automakers around the word are bleeding money trying to figure out customers and legislation. Profits have dried up, as competition increases in China, Europe and USA.

Things are getting rough for automakers... which means things are much more rough for the "common" man...
Do you think things will turn around? Or will this get bad enough for some automakers to close their doors???

This is what happens when you aim all your product at rich people. They have saturated that market. They rest of us are not ready to pay double what we paid 5 years ago for a similar car.

Everything is too expensive. Add dealer markups on very attractive cars, they are sitting. Income of the world hasn't gone up like everything else.

They let dealerships do this with their stupid mark ups. They reap what they sowed.

Not much pity for them. The outdated and expensive dealer model hasn’t changed much in 50 years.

Why the hell is Carlos Tavares(Stellantis) making $40M for his compensation?

Vehicles have became too expensive and of course people have stopped buying. How many cars do we need anyway? I am hanging on to mine for as long as possible, Maintenance is the key.

What do they expect? Consumers can't keep on trying to afford everything when you have greedy CEOs who are making millions upon millions of dollars, who have raised prices of goods that people have to buy the least expensive alternative and don't have money for nothing else.

Every company is making their car more luxurious…but also adding a luxury vehicle price. Then they wonder why people aren’t buying…or at least the majority of people who don’t want to spend half their income on a car.

And yet Nissan/Dealers still wants to sell a several years old design SUV, Armada, for MSRP of $50k for the peon level/model. LOL.

Now 60% of current EV vehicle owners say they are going back to hybrid and/or just gas vehicles. For now it is not working for most companies, and when the incentives are cut off, that will kill more.

I don't see how the following make it: Stellantis, Nissan, Lucid .

Nissan good fortunes have changed. 15-20 years ago Nissan's Altima and Maxima were everywhere. Nissan never successfully transitioned into SUV market. Also choosing to go with CVT was a terrible decision.

Nissan has NO ONE to blame but themselves for ruining the Maxima with a c.v.t. and attempting to shift sales volume from the Maxima to the Altima. The Altima is one of the worst disgraces in automotive history. They can't end the Altima quick enough ! The Murano disgrace is a close second to the Altima. MOVE ON Nissan.

“miracle battery” reminded me of “magic grits” in the movie “My Cousin Vinny” 😅

Im not surprised by Nissan having trouble, they just left Infiniti to die, and they are rolling out garbage. I own a 2024 QX60 and its the worst vehicle i have ever owned from both a quality and design standpoint. And i owned a mid 2000's chevy, so thats saying something.

Why does Nissan keep looking for a savior when they have everything except forward thinking management? 🤦‍♂️

Carlos Ghosn: Shut up! If you had done your job, Nissan would not have been in the bad shape it is in today! Nissan had the EV technology for small cars, and you did nothing to promote & irmprove it. Nissan's main problem was the US market, where it trailed Toyota/Honda, and you did nothing to turn it around, despite closing many plants and cut thousands of Japanese workers. If you want to say anything, you should talk to the judges in Japan & France, rather than shooting your mouth off while hiding in Lebanon!

Ghosn is 100% sour grapes. He'll say anything negative about Nissan, so you can't believe anything he says. Honda would not be interested in taking over Nissan and Mitsubishi. Its a culture thing. They're after price advantage, plain and simple.

Of course Ghosn is going to say crap. He was the one that took Renault and Nissan and double crossed them. Both Renault and Nissan filed a lawsuit against him and his shady deals. He is a gangster to begin with and that is not a good thing as many people want to view it through memes. Honda is busy with their own problems to worry about Nissan. They may share as a company, but principally they have different culture and ideology.
