Man… the lyrics are likely about a relationship for her. For me they perfectly encapsulate my feelings for my toxic abusive mother. She died of covid related issues last year. A lot of pain and answers were buried with her. I’m 42 years old and I’m not sure if I will ever be okay again if I ever was in the first place. I remember the day my mom stopped loving me. I was 7 years old.
Thank you for evoking emotion through your music. It’s an outlet that gets many people through hard lives.
