Most of it was very expensive. Surprisingly, the meat section seemed the most reasonable.

Everything seems 2x to 4x more expensive than in Texas.

OMG! Those prices are super crazy!!! We definitely get a head of lettuce for 99 cents and mustard is 99 cents too. A lot different here in North Carolina. Thanks for sharing

When I drove up to North Pole from Wasilla on Christmas Eve, I was never happier to see a Three Bears! The ONLY (only!) place open that time of year for many miles around...even the gas station across the street was shut down, and it was COLD that day! Thankfully Three Bears has gas too! As for prices, since they're the only game in town, I don't think they're too outrageous ~ at least compared to Bush or Island communities. They have a super variety, and their fresh meats are the best -- which is great for the locals and travelers. But for daily shopping it has higher prices than ours here in Wasilla - but locals there can always make that run up to Fairbanks or down to the Valley or Anchorage for stocking up. Thanks for the vlog today! :)

It may be more expensive to live there, but well worth it with all the beautiful sights that you get to see on a daily bases.

What a cute name for a grocery store. I’d shop there. 😊

definitely more expensive than in Oregon, I am impressed with how reasonable the meat prices were. At the same time, I am also impressed with the selection.

Everything seemed about double the prices here in SW Washington, except the meat. Those meat prices were better than sale prices here! I've shopped Three Bears when we've gone to Alaska, and I love that Mom-n-Pop Shop feel.

We are planning visiting Alaska in August. And renting a car and driving to various locations. How is the weather. Flying in Anchorage then driving up to Fairbanks i think. Still working the details. We are celebrating 20 years of marriage.

Yikes hopefully the wages are fairly decent.
I spend $200.00 a month for groceries for two. Yes, that includes beef, chicken, fish, shrimp, chops and bacon. Love my Aldi's

A little fun fact: the Ellsworth cheese curds are made about a half hour from my house here in Wisconsin. We love taking drives on sundays to the cheese factory. They are so fresh when we get them they are still warm!! Sooo yummy. Also, if it doesn’t taste “fresh” just put them in the microwave for a few seconds and there ya go! Our Wisconsin prices are very cheap compared to there!

I second the Texas comment! Its so expensive!!! I pay $1.78 for tortillas, $2.49 for my wraps!! Dog food is a 50pd bag for $27.99, red delicious apples for $0.89 a pound, 1 pound of bacon for $9.99... Thats soooo

The prices are so high because they have to fly in or ship in just about all the products. The pay is not bad, but the cost of living is high. Keep that in mind when you holler minimum wage should be 15 dollars an hour! The cost of living and food will go up as well to offset having to pay a higher wage!

I’d be making my own jelly and jam man! And pickles too. I already do that lol. Hope you have a small garden this year, even if it’s just in containers. I need to figure out how to grow toilet paper and paper towels and paper plates. Never ever seen them in the seed catalogs lol. I live north of Seattle and it’s less expensive here. 🦋💜

Some of the prices are comparable to where I live in Canada, but some others are a bit to high. We are about the same in the meat department. Thanks Bert
