They don’t want you to hold them to a standard of a prophet .
But they do want you to obey them as a prophet .

Lying from both sides of their mouth, two faced, forked tongue, no matter, trust the governing body with your life and your children's lives, let them set your goals and dreams, then when they crash all those things, don't blame them, an apology will not be forth coming but rather be greatful that such men are in charge of your most precious things and continue to obey.

I have complete trust that they will err in judgement and not want to apologize for it.

Breaux: lying as he says he isn't. Gaslighting defined.

What's extra wild is that these two wt videos came out, I believe, in the same year! Like within months of each other.

The GB? No shame whatsoever, actually more like a deliberate slap in the face to every faithful jw, from the devil himself.

This is very well done. There are so many statements like this thru the years. I’m glad to see it done so concisely. Thank you ☺️

Well, I guess those governing body are the only humans on earth that do not lie. Everyone in the world should surround somebody like that and find out how that is possible. they should be famous for that alone.

Good, but "That's not how it works." Is inadiquate as a summation of what is wrong with those two statements coexisting.
The reason they don't work together. Is that the risk of a mistake by a centralized authority has extreme consequences for individuals that encounter situtuations where absolute trust would put their lives and wellbeing in jeopardy.
It's easy to think of examples.
All you need do is take any particular thing they say and ask, if it turned out that they were mistaken about this, and I acted in complete trust that they were right even though they were mistaken, what is the worst that could happen to me?
Anything were the known outcome is bad but the reason it is endured is a religious reason, if they were mistaken and that reason was invalid, the bad outcome would be endured for literally nothing.
These outcomes include but are not limited to:

Imprisonment,
Death,
Loss of family,
Loss of friendships,
up to 50% of your entire life's free time wasted,
Lost opportunities to enjoy life in ways and too degrees far beyond what you ended up doing/getting including family you may have otherwise created.

Love this Phil. Watching our cult-cousins on Mormon Stories fully woke me up. Funny how that works.

I really wish Winder said what he was about to say... "Nor do we.. nor is an apology necessary." What was he going to reallyb say? Nor do we what?

The Governing body can "AIR" in doctrinal matters.

Not ERR but AIR .

Personally speaking i find both of these JW, s extremely difficult to listen to.. I struggle to find the words to explain why i feel as i do... I simply cringe when they speak .. 🤔☹️
