Try out different cap sizes and also different cans have different aerosol pressure. Try those out too but like anything practice makes perfect

Way to go!! Trying something new is always nerve wracking but you did a good job! What's more, you want to learn more, and that's amazing. Stay curious <3

I think you are very brave to try a new medium out in front of the public. It shows that your desire to learn is greater than your desire to control what other people around you think. That is the sign of a truly intelligent person. God bless.

Cans are such an interesting medium but there are sooo many variables like the brand of the can, the pressure, the kind of colour (chrome will be very different feel from like a matt paint ), the temperature/ wind conditions but by far the biggest variable are the caps (that plastic thing you put your finger on and press down to spray the paint ) since they "bundle" the spray in different ways 4 example there's caps for filling in big areas which are a big square but there's also ones for calligraphy very precise or there are even caps for specific visual effects since a lot of them are hard to do with standard caps which have a a like blurry circle you can really notice this if you compare cheap off brand spray paint and cans specifically made for graffiti. In the beginning of graffiti when there weren't really any different caps people used to jerryrig them themselves like for a small precision cap we used small rounded off needles heatet them up and pushed them into the basic cap and if you do it just right it works :)
Also just keep on practicing and you will soon be way better then you could even believe maybe get some help from the graffiti shop they probably now what they are doing ;)

the bulldog in the spraypaint can is ADORABLE I love how he turned out. the slightly janked lines make him so appealing - you did an amazing job for a first time bro! keep it up!

The important thing is that you still went for it. You took a leap, did something new, learned, and it still turned out great!

You are using a quite low pressure brand of paint with a soft wide cap, when it comes to the style you’ve got I think a high pressure can with a super skinny cap or needle cap would work better you get much more even lines but you have to move faster.

speed+closer cap-to-wall will create thin lines. perfect with skinny caps for details, and or sketching. for gradients and movement, try fat caps/ medium caps. try to keep the can at the same angle and same distance if you want to do regular outlines, and to avoid uneven lines. but youre right, try one bigger walls first, you should get a better understanding of spray can control after your 3rd piece

Body and Arm movements are so important for getting the lines you want. Also, using cut backs to chisel out the lines as you go can make up for any sketchy lines. Great work and I love your videos!

I really appreciate that you shared this. A lot of artists act like they are just naturally great at all forms of art so this is refreshing

People always get mad at graffiti but if it's well done it's ART. It is incredibly difficult to paint well with spray paint. Shout out to the artists who can blend with it too!

Once you get the flow of the cans and figure out the cap sizes you’ll be just as good with spray painting as you are with brushes✨

Anytime it’s your first time with a new medium, expect mistakes and embrace the opportunity to learn more for next time. Something tells me you already know this ✌️
