Learn Persian with Majid
Salam doostan (Hi friends), this is my first lesson in the video series to help you Persian as an absolute beginner. It deals with the very first topic to learn each language, which is greetings. You will also learn about the very basic grammar of how to conjugate the verb ''to be''. Please watch carefully, write down some notes and then practice, you will learn today how to make your first basic Persian sentence, promised!

I've learnt basic Arabic, but recent political events get me interested in Persian. Can't believe how much simpler it is to learn for a German speaker. It seems very natural, while Arabic was hideously complicated. Grammar of Persian seems quite similar to German. And I like the pronounciations better than Arab, it sounds softer

I'm so happy to find your different options for learning spoken Persian. Thanks for making it really clear that you are teaching SPOKEN Persian. This is what I want to learn. I met someone who had learned Persian and she was an inspiration, but also a warning - native Persian speakers told me she sounded so strange because she was speaking written Persian! I must say, part of the way through this video, before we got to the first verb, I had finished typing my notes in my phone for the "personal pronouns" and I was struck by a deep sense of GRATITUDE! Thank you, Majid and everyone who helps! I have wanted to learn Persian ever since I first heard Mehdi Aminian's concert, Quieter Than Silence, and finally, with your instruction, a textbook, and sheer will, I will embark on learning Persian. I can't express my reverence towards this language, the Persian People and the beauty found within Iran. I am American, so who knows if I will ever travel to Iran, but I can bring Iran to me now! Im Aftgan and I left Afghanistan when i was little and I didn’t have my conscious at the time and so when i earned it i only knew how to speak English, thank you for making this im learning
