A friend of mine was booked on the Rocky Mountaineer for yesterday to arrive in Jasper today. Obviously, that trip has been cancelled. Shockingly, he gets no refund, no voucher for future travel, no “inconvenience” payment for the extra money he now has to spend for hotels and changed flights home. Nothing at all. “Act of god, force of nature, nothing we can do, sorry, have a nice day”. It’s a very high price for a two day railway journey, and it’s gone. Not a good look for Rocky Mountaineer.
