I initially planned to just skim through this video to listen to some of the sounds, but got so caught up in how the music was progressing I watched the whole 26m of it! Thanks for making this video, it gave me a real insight into how composers work on a DAW. I might even have a go myself!

I'd love to see a video with Guy and Christian Henson chatting to each other. I've discovered both of their channels during lockdown and both have been a massive help with trying to figure out what I am doing!

Spitfire Audio Labs are now free & growing.

The theme changes back and forth so much from mission impossible to doc Martin, back to something sinister to something ambitious. I love how Guy can just try stuff out and see what happens. It makes you want to experiment and challenge yourself to expand your own repertoire.

It’s amazing I’ve had writers block for awhile and after downloading the “Handbells lab” It sparked so many ideas. Thanks for this.

Short cut letter "V" hides the Kontakt window and brings it back. (maybe v for vanish. )

Great!! It's always a pleasure and a enjoyable lesson to see you composing. You put heart into teaching! That makes you stand out of the crowd for sure! The best one!! Wish I could learn more from you!

A question about the competition: Does it need to be only with the $3.00 sounds? or can be with other samples of their library?

I just made a tune which watching this. I'll take a look at those samples and see if I can't knock something up. I'm more of a melody composer so I'm rubbish at soundscape cinematic stuff

Ah Back when labs still was Kontakt and I found it way more comfortable to work with, bc you could edit so much in the instrument :/

This may seem like just a straight up dumb question, but how are you adding effects inserts to separate instruments through one instance of Kontakt in Cubase? When I try and add effects to the Midi channels it just gives me Midi inserts which aren't the same. Is it something to do with routing the instruments from Kontakt to Cubase's mixer audio channels rather than trying to add effects to the midi channels themselves?

Great! What's the name of the effect you've used in 17:50?
