If you could move anywhere in the world where would it be? 🌎🌍

You know something. As a person who lives in the Middle East and particularly in Lebanon for most of my life, some feel that Europe and Canada are perfect and special something like heaven ...
But I found that all the world is alike with pros and cons everywhere...

I will leave Germany in the near future because of all the things you said about life in Canada. I feel its exactly the same in Germany. So maybe we sometimes just have to see something "new" to grow?

I relate so deeply to your reasons for moving abroad. I just do not feel like I fit here in the US at all. I love public transit, walking, the outdoors, I don't want a traditional job and can't stand the work/life balance here. Most people here just don't really get me and I hope I can move soon.

-Exposed to different ways of living
-Traveling opened your eyes
-Being in Berlin helped you value work & life balance
-Everyone has a different goal there
-Everyone wants to achieve different things
& it's interesting to experience that
-Allowed you to grow as an individual
-You feel like you're a totally different person than you were 3 years ago
-the way you think
-the way you speak
-the way you present yourself
You feel inspired being there

❤ I want all of this too!
This is my favorite video of you.
Thanks for sharing! I was raised in Vancouver, can't wait to experience Germany🥰

Funny that I've lived in Germany for 3 years n I feel stuck already. I guess it all comes down to individual perspective in the end

I'm a Canadian working remotely in Colombia. My rent is about 250 cad per month for a 3bed apartment. Car insurance 60 cad, health 25, I go out to restaurants like 3-5 times per week. If I'd still be living in Canada, I'd need 3 jobs lol.

I couldn't agree more. I also am from Toronto... when I tell people I say I'm going traveling or buying this thing and working on my future.. some people are like.. "oh really? why? that's crazy, you travel too much" blah blah. My husband and I bought a condo in 2014... sold it 2017 and people would be like.. omg it's so small why would you buy this, just negative because you we were doing something different. We sold it then traveled all over Asia and Europe, The DR and Costa Rica, reinvested some of it. And now we are back in Canada... and we are now working on moving to Europe, I do not feel like I belong in Toronto, I always play devils advocate and a lot of people hate that and can't see other perspectives here a lot of the time, where as in other places they love it, to learn and to talk about ideas and different ways. I was born Canada but my parents are Polish, and I just found out it's incredibly easy for me to get my Polish passport, so we're thinking in the next 2 years that we'll be heading out to Europe! Fingers crossed!

When I was single Canada's work/life balance never really bothered me but now I'm married and have two kids and the work/life balance is hot garbage. Working mandatory overtime and when you ask for 1 day off its a big f@#king deal. I've worked at the same company for 5 year and JUST now got a third week off. Oh but wait I'm not allowed to take three weeks off consecutively to go visit my family in Europe. Moving to Germany (where I have family, among some other countries in Europe) has been something we have discussed. Hopefully it can become a reality in a few years.

Canada is the most boring place on Earth.I am Canadian after living 9 years in South East Asian and moving back to Canada 1 year ago I can say I cannot wait to leave Canada again!

I'm from the UK, currently living in Ottawa for a PhD and I will be moving to Germany in a few years as it's always been where I want to live and work since I was in school.

It's right that in Canada you work super hard but also you struggle to have a house in the suburbs, going to eat outside it's pretty expensive and everything in general is super expensive. At least in the US you work hard and you see the results.

I'm the opposite, I lived in Europe (England) my whole life, moved to Canada in 2015 then back to UK in 2017 then I went right back to Canada because I missed it soo much. I'm a teacher so I get summers off anyway and the pay is double for teachers in Alberta Vs Europe and everything is cheaper so I love it here. I love the big houses, big cars, the space, the mountains and beautiful nature and just how kind and humble everyone is compared to England. I also love how sunny it is even when its freezing. I become a Canadian citizen next year and I couldn't be more proud!

I visited Germany in August and I can relate to what you said about “breaking out of that mold.” Nearly everyone I know in the US is afraid to go outside of the country and miss out on these opportunities to see different cultures and experience new things. I really enjoyed Germany and I definitely want to go back one day. Thanks for the encouragement, nearly everyone thinks I’m crazy for wanting to move abroad

YES! This is exactly why I want to move from Canada to Europe as well 😩

I think that mold you spoke of exist anywhere. But by going abroad where you don't know anyone you have a larger sense of freedom to deviate from it.

For every Canadian coming to germany there are 10 germans now who want to move to Canada. I guess. Canada is one of the most popular countries germans who want to leave germany want to move to.

Omg, thank you for this video. I'm an immigrant from Japan, moved to Toronto 4 years ago. I've been struggling recently and what you said made the most sense... nobody seems to be happy here and everyone's goal seems to be buying a house in suburb. Work life balance is like... slightly better than Japan.

nice video, i could relate to it. I was in Toronto, but I missed my country India terribly...food, weather, friends & family...eventually i moved to India inspite of holding PR. I m thankful to the Canadian Govt and beautiful Canadian people, who were incredibly nice.

Completely agree with you Diana. I've been following your channel for the past year and am glad you like it in Germany. Having lived in Germany I definitely understand the differences between two countries. The work-life balance is hard to maintain when you are on the highway 2.5 hours of the day and winter is 8 months long. :)
