Christian Horner has admitted Red Bull's RB20 was created with too much complexity when compared to McLaren, arguing they need to take steps backward before they can hope to gain more ground on their rivals. After RB had to change theor brakes to legal spec, they lost their corner turn . They had to add down force which took away from their top speed. Maybe illegal brakes is what made Neweys design shine more
