I love this, with one caveat I think former Governor Bush would agree with. Not every student needs to master every subject. Temple Grandin excelled at Geometry but could not come close to mastering Algebra. Or French. But yes, definitely, funding should be attached to successful learning, not time spent in school.

55:48 I don't see the inherent value in learning with other students "in the same age group". A 7th Grader could be called just an 8th-Year Student. You could have 9-year-olds and 16-year-olds in a particular class with you. "Socializing" with people of your same age means your peers are equally ignorant about life. Maybe if you're lucky you'll befriend one or two of them in a long-lasting healthy way, but maybe you could also befriend a 74-year-old in the community that you collaborate with to learn things and neither of you are directly paid for that education.
