I own a sod farm. I noticed a few weeks ago that the cicada killing wasps had a lot of nests drilled out on my bare ground. There are a few every square foot across 100 acres.

All I know is that I’ve never lived in a house before that had such big old trees when the periodical cicadas came out. It’s so loud and the smell where they are decomposing near one of my big oaks is awful. They are everywhere. We have thousands just in our yard.
