The core stage for NASA’s new Space Launch System (SLS) rocket arrived at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi on Jan. 12. The stage was manufactured at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. It was rolled out from the Pegasus barge and on Jan. 22, NASA installed the core stage, which will provide power for the Artemis I lunar mission in the B-2 Test Stand. The stage will undergo a series of Green Run tests over the coming months. Green Run represents the first top-to-bottom integrated testing of its systems prior to its maiden Artemis I test flight.
