I hit a CLEARANCE sign any time I see them! Our local Kroger store has a regular place for them but they are also mixed in the shelves, so I GLEAN the aisles. Walmart here also has a couple of regular places for clearance, which we check. When I get to the bigger cities, I also know where their markdowns are.

My favorite area in my local Kroger is the markdown shelf . I found all kinds of their brand nuts for almost 90% off. Bought plenty and vacuum sealed and blessed my neighbor and a friend. I love a good deal. 💕😉

I shop at Shaw's and they also do that. Get some really good deals that way, from sauces to cold medicine...and I also stock up on clearance meat, that's what my freezer is for...

That’s a great haul! I love that dark Dutch cocoa! Yes it’s like 7.00 a bag around here in Northern Indiana. Refried beans are always a good thing!

Two of our local stores have clearance areas, but one is better than the other, price wise. At one store its the first place I check before looking anywhere else in the store. A few weeks ago I stocked up on store brand cocoa powder, because my son likes to make fudge and we also make brownies. I have also found other good deals there as well. A toothpaste my son uses was marked down, so I bought the 4 I found. Majority of the time, I will make a second run by the clearance before leaving the store, as sometimes more stuff has been added or someone changed their mind. These are stores I only shop mainly their sales ads. I do my main grocery shopping at a completely different store.

I don’t eat the extra hot buddy eat the hot of Paces’s. When I have friends over, I drop up jalapeño and add it to it always keep a bottle or at least a bowl that’s mine. Because otherwise I’d be drinking milk. Milk kills the heat. But I love PACE!

I think that sourdough in my opinion is just another buzz word for self-sufficient, and more like a more craze right now. You could call it a phase. I make sourdough but only for my sister who grew up on sourdough. Mostly I’d buy it because it doesn’t sell well and I can always get it on clearance for $.99 at Walmart. Even now with bread over $2.50 for White Sandwich bread Walmart brand which usually goes for four dollars I still can pick up me a $.99 loaf of sourdough which lasts me about three months because I end up freezing them into slices in a package. after all, it’s only me at home and my cat doesn’t care for sourdough. in fact, you’d rather have yogurt and a piece of bread any bread! Wonderful ha. My car is in the shop this week. So I’ll miss the majority of those good sales even if I go on Friday afternoon now will be 8 March and most of everything will be gone, except the Benton battered. But I’ll still go because Ben cans I usually recan the same day. I wish I could’ve gone today, but I got to go to chemo instead! Everybody tells me to quit canning, but I don’t know how long I’m going to live and I don’t care what the doctor says. He doesn’t know either. I don’t tell him that because he thinks he knows. As all of us know there’s a time to sow and a time to harvest. There’s a time for birthing and a time for dying.
