Roland D-50 Celebration Moments with Steve Levine

Steve Levine is a man of many talents - label owner, guest speaker, award-winning radio broadcaster and, most notably, a successful record producer who has worked with everyone from Culture Club and The Beach Boys to Gary Moore and Motorhead. But back in the late 1980s, was Steve also the first person to use an iconic D-50 preset in a track? With the advent of the new D-05, we caught up with Steve to find out what he loves about the original D-50, how he still uses it, and why he’ll be using the new versions, in the hardware-based Roland Boutique format and via software through Roland Cloud.

Love the D50 but the JD800 is awesome too, and needs a VST or boutique version

Roland this is cool! Could you send me one to set on top of my mint time capsule condition D-70 to cover up the only scratch YOU put in it when you replaced the red glue dripping keybed at your Los Angeles facility (nice keybed btw 👍)
