Fentanyl suspected as cause of death for 5 people in Commerce City

Police are investigating after five people were found dead in a Commerce City apartment Sunday. Police believe they were using illegal drugs that were laced with fentanyl.

The generation that grew up WITH drugs is less prepared to confront this development than the generation who did NOT grow up with drugs confront the advent of drugs’ popularity.

I am a recovering addict for 17yrs now. I just feel so scared for todays youth as drug experimenting can easily cost them theirs lives. When I was using, a bad batch of drugs usually would cause nothing more then a bad trip,

I am just curious what drugs are they lacing with fentanyl. Fentanyl is expensive. I always believed that drugs were laced with other stuff so the drug dealer could make more money.

What I don't get is the drug dealer's business model? Isn't the whole purpose of selling narcotics to profit? Why would you step on the product with a deadly substance like fentanyl that could suddenly cut your revenue stream? Makes no sense.

you play...you pay. moral to the story...be smart and don't do drugs. I grew up in a family of addiction... I was the only one sober in a family of 6, I made the choice at an early age to be sober and never drink or do drugs. It is a choice.

Something tells me that they may have cut it right there in that house. And not well because if they bought it from somebody there would likely be body's dropping by the dozens. This is an extreme case.
