Jim Rome was ahead of his time. Instead of reporting news, he tried to make it all about himself. That is exactly how all media is today. It’s not about reporting news. It’s about trying to make themselves the story by being as outrageous as possible. One can say this interview was a microcosm of where our media in general was headed.

I love the way Rome tells the story. He tries to describe it like he held his own. I don't know it for a fact, but I'm pretty sure Rome crapped his pants that day. I think it's awesome how Rome immediately showed Everette his belly!

What can one say? The guy was polite and warned him NOT to say it again, or there would be trouble. The host was looking for a confrontation and he got it. It was a great moment in TV - the way he just lifted and brushed the desk aside was magnificent.
