Can death metal sound sweet? Dark Tranquillity - Lethe guitar cover

Yes, another cover of Lethe by Dark Tranquillity – well, this is not an actual cover since the original song is played on a bass guitar and with a different tuning, but this is how I always played it on my guitar, without having to re-tune it. This time, you won’t find the tab in UG since it’s just my interpretation of it.

I wanted to experiment with some new camera angles but I’m not 100% satisfied with the result. Meanwhile, I’ve tried to improve the overall quality of my clean recordings and the result is encouraging, I love how deep the bass tunes got and the soft panned reverb I applied: I’ve been using Ableton for 15 years or so, and I never cared about the return tracks before..it’s never too late they say!

It seems that G string is a bit off on higher functions. That is probably due to the fact, that straight frets are not perfectly aligned with sound that was supposed to give, especially on higher frets. There were some workarounds of this problem, like fanned frets or true temperament fretboards, but there is no perfect solution. Anyway, nice work!
