Gus up charges YOU SPECIFICALLY because he secretly hates you.

Robin: Silo? Bet. 100g
Also Robin: You want nursery room? Gimme 30000g

Also there’s the fact that a chest can hold over 30, 000 pieces of hay but a silo can only hold 240.

Here's one people don't really think about,

Pierre buys ALL of your crops from you, and through dialogue you can see that Pierre sells your food at an INSANE markup to everyone else claiming that he made it

And how can pierre afford to buy millions of dollars of crops from me

Silo: 100G
Strawberry seeds: 100G
Thats the Stardew Valley economy for you

yeah but she makes up for it by absolutely robbing you with the price of every other building in the game lmao

Are we just gonna ignore that a simple bucket cost 1000 gold? Like you could buy a whole coop with 4 buckets
The golden pumpkin is worth 2 and a half buckets, if your salary was paid in buckets you would be rich, a bucket is 10 times as expensive an entire silo

What I want to know is how Lewis personally hauls out like twenty thousand pounds of potatoes from my magical box of holding every morning. Without making a single sound. And no roads...

Or how Robin charges you 150 gold for a single stone. ONE STONE MAN. MORE THAN THE ENTIRE SILO!

There's a bigger problem than the economy: buildings are bigger on the inside, you can ever have Robin add even more space inside without making the building bigger outside. I'm starting to think that we Stardew Valley farmers are in a simulation of some sort.

But there is an agricultural fund for a lot of buildings, I am assuming that the silo is one of those just like the cabins. Maybe you should calculate it with housing upgrade costs.

Gus charges the players more bc he knows they are a supernatural being who never has to eat to survive, it only gives them an extra boost so food is technically a luxury item for them, wheras his regulars need the food to live.

Robin secretly pockets half of the resources you give her so she can sell them on the black market

Honestly i always feel really bad seeing her working in buildings cause she works through the night too and it makes me feel so friggin guilty

If I’m being honest, I translate the gold into coins. So 1 gold is a penny to me. 100 gold is a dollar. So she built a silo for a dollar for me. Then the house is 100 dollar upgrade. Makes me feel a bit better about prices.

Well, lots of time, u end up buying hay from marnie for ridiculous fees. Robin has an agreement with marnie to make cheap cilos, and she gives her a profit from the bought hay. A very smart printer and ink business going on here.

ah yes, after a hard days work i’ll treat myself to half a salad and do it all again tomorrow :)

Robin's entire family all got jobs and make money. Robin probably doesn't even need to work. Likely Robin works out of enjoyment of her craft, not because she needs money

And like others have said, easier jobs, like a metal tube to store hay, cheap. A whole house for Pam. Expensive

You know it’s messed up when a WOODEN blade, a sword that costs 250 gold, is 2.5x the price of a silo that can withstand literal explosives and any natural events (like meteors).

Then Marnier charges 50$ for one small pile of wheat enough to feed 1 animal for just 1 day
